Simpson and his Donkey

Today we used VideoNotes to summarise this text about Jack Simpson and his donkey. Along with some of my other class mates I had some trouble saving and print screening this so Here is Miss Kay's example.

My Highlights @ H.N.I So Far in 2014

Highlights so far this year

The subject area/s I am most proud of: I am proud of my writing because in my first piece of character writing I did not have language features that support the image of my character, paragraphs or careful observations of my character. In my second piece I had all of those.

Something I am really glad about: I am glad that I got into the 2014 H.N.I Production.

Something I used to struggle with but I am feeling better about: I used to struggle with my 7, 8 and 9 times tables and now I feel a bit better about them.

Something I have worked very hard at: I have worked very hard at Maths by trying to understand what I need to know before I ask the teacher. I have also tried to do my maths I.X.L efficiently and getting it done each week for homework.

Something new I have learned or experienced for the first time: I have experienced a Powhiri for the first time.

What’s next?

Something I am wondering about: What am I going to be in this 2014 Production?

Something I’d like you to know I struggle with: Nothing.

What I need to be better at: Throwing and catching a ball correctly. Listening to other people and their suggestions.

Something I’d really like to learn or experience that we haven’t done yet: I would really like to learn about Science and how Science works.

Group K Media Studies Technology

From week 3 to week 9 Group K were working with Miss Prebensen in Media Studies Technology. During the 6 weeks we learnt about types of camera shots. We also gave each person a job in making a little movie clip called The Interrogation. Then we got into buddies and edited the video with our own twists. On the 2nd to last day Miss Prebensen 'judged' the video's and it turned out Paige and Amanda's was her favorite, but Sam and mine was the classes choice. On the last day we made our own group K Peak T.V. Although it was not a proper one that was given to the school in the morning, it was still fun!
