Maths: Algebra
This term in maths we have been learning about algebra. We have learnt about coordinates and how you always say/write them with the x axis first. You write a coordinate like this (4,9). The X axis is the horizontal line and the Y axis is the vertical line. We remember which one is what by remembering that an X is a cross so the X axis is across! This week we played battle ships to help us with our coordinates. Here is Jesse and I playing battleships.

Algebra may seem bazaar at first, but once you get the concept it becomes very useful, I still use it in my job from time to time!
ReplyDeleteArgh, caught out by auto correct (spelling was never my strong point at school), bizarre turned into some sort of fundraising sale of goods (bazaar). Most importantly is to get very good at both spelling and algebra!
